TJIC — Joint Information Center

Run the JIC, not the inbox

TJIC is purpose-built Joint Information Center software. Log media inquiries, route press releases through approval, work rumor control, and keep every PIO on the approved message — when the phone has not stopped for six hours.

What is TJIC?

One system for the whole information function

During a response, the Joint Information Center runs on whatever is at hand — a shared inbox, a whiteboard of rumors, and press releases passed around for signature as email attachments. TJIC replaces that patchwork with a single workflow built the way a JIC actually operates: inquiries logged and assigned, releases drafted and routed for approval, rumors tracked to resolution, and approved messaging in one library everyone can quote from.

What TJIC Does

Media Inquiry Log

Every call, email, and question logged, assigned to a PIO, and tracked to response. Nothing falls through the cracks between shift changes, and the record shows who was told what, when.

Release Routing & Approval

Draft press releases in the system and route them through the approval chain — no more hunting for the current version in an email thread. What goes out the door is the version that was approved.

Rumor Control

Track rumors from first report through verification to public correction. The board shows what's circulating, what's been run down, and what the approved response is.

Approved Messaging Library

Holding statements, talking points, and approved facts in one place. Every PIO answering the phone quotes from the same page — not from memory of the last briefing.

PIO Reporting

Inquiry volume, response status, and release history summarized for the operational period briefing — the picture the Lead PIO and the IC need, produced from the work the JIC is already doing.

Standalone or with TEMS

TJIC runs on its own for organizations that only need the information function, and alongside TEMS when the whole command post is on the Terminus suite.
